The short answer: Under Maine’s 9-A §3-502, Maine buyers can cancel a home solicitation sale until midnight of the third business day after signing a compliant agreement, using any written expression of intent. Section 3-503 requires a statement under the caption “BUYER’S RIGHT TO CANCEL,” and until the seller complies, you may cancel by any means.
Maine accepts the FTC’s notice format as compliant, but only if it gives at least equal information. Missing or incomplete notices extend your right.
