The short answer: Report deceptive solar sales to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and to your state Attorney General. Report solar loan problems to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at the CFPB complaint portal. Contractor and licensing problems go to your state’s licensing agency, such as Texas’s TDLR or California’s Contractors State License Board. A complaint creates a record but doesn’t cancel your contract or pause deadlines.
