The short answer: Tennessee law gives buyers three business days to cancel a home solicitation sale with written notice to the seller’s address. The seller must tell you about the right at the time of sale, give you two copies of a cancellation form and provide a dated copy of the contract showing its name and address. The federal Cooling-Off Rule, 16 CFR Part 429, applies too.
