Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to solarcancellationhq.com, operated under the name Solar Cancellation HQ (“we,” “us”). Questions? Email privacy@solarcancellationhq.com or use our contact page.
Information we collect
When you submit a form, we collect what you enter: your name, phone, email, ZIP code, utility, contract type, the problem you describe and, if you tell us, whether you are 65 or older. We also collect device and usage information, such as IP address, pages viewed and referring site, through cookies and similar tools.
We sell your information
We sell the information you submit through our forms to attorneys, law firms and other companies that help homeowners with solar contracts. Those buyers may contact you by phone, text or email using the details you provided. If you don’t want your information sold, don’t submit a form, or email us to opt out of future sales. Opting out stops future sales but doesn’t undo a sale that already happened, so you can also ask any company that contacted you to delete your information.
How we use information
We use your information to respond to your request, contact you as you’ve authorized, sell it to buyers as described above, operate and secure the site, measure advertising and site performance, and comply with law.
Other disclosures
We also share information with service providers that host the site, deliver email and texts, store records or provide analytics; with advertising and analytics partners through cookies; and with government authorities when required by law.
Calls and texts
If you agree on our forms, we and the companies that buy your information may contact you at the number you provide, including by automated calls and texts. Consent isn’t a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.
Your choices
You can ask us to stop selling your information, tell you what we have, correct it or delete it by emailing privacy@solarcancellationhq.com. You can control cookies in your browser.
Security and children
We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our forms are for adults 18 and older, and this site isn’t directed to children.
State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights, such as the right to know, correct or delete your information and to opt out of its sale. California residents and residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws can make any of these requests, including opting out of sale, by emailing privacy@solarcancellationhq.com. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
