The short answer: Under KRS 367.420, Kentucky buyers can cancel a home solicitation sale until midnight of the third business day after signing. For home solicitation sales on loans secured by your principal dwelling, the window extends to midnight of the tenth business day after the later of the loan’s consummation or delivery of the required Truth in Lending disclosures. Any written expression of intent works.
If your solar financing took a security interest in your home, Kentucky’s ten-business-day rule may apply, and it doesn’t start until the required lending disclosures are delivered.
The Kentucky Consumer Protection Act prohibits unfair, false, misleading or deceptive acts in trade, and the Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Protection enforces it.
Kentucky utilities and cooperatives set their own compensation for exported power under state rules, and those terms have changed over time. Compare your actual credits with the proposal.
